Lee first joined Broadbridge Heath at the age of 15 playing in our Under 16 team in the mid-Sussex Sunday Youth League, the following year the same team won the SCFL Under 18 West Division and 12 months later they became champions of the Southern Youth League.
Lee’s performances at youth level were soon noticed by first team manager Sam Chapman who drafted the young mid-field player into his first team starting eleven and on his senior debut Lee scored four goals, he went on to become a first team regular and helped the team to finish in 5th place narrowly missing out on promotion.
The following season Lee signed for Pease Pottage Village for a short while before moving to Horsham FC in November 2001. He scored twice on his debut for the Hornets and went on to make more than 300 appearances, helping them to promotion to the Isthmian League Premier Division and an FA Cup 2nd round tie with Swansea City, before he left to join Three Bridges in December 2009. Under his captaincy, Bridges won the County League title and promotion to the Isthmian League for the first time in their history.
Steve Painter said “we’re delighted to have Lee back where it all started and let’s hope he has an enjoyable and injury free season”.
